IFC Benefits

Equipment rental is available for IFC members only and must be picked up by the person who submits the request.

Rental Request: Reservation request must be sent by email to equipment@ifckc.org with a list of the specific equipment needed, date and time of pick-up, duration of equipment rental, return date and time, and contact information. Reservation requests are made on a first come, first serve basis honored according to the date/time stamp that appears on the email received. All equipment requests sent to the equipment@ifckc.org email address will receive an auto response email to confirm the email was delivered. If you do not receive such an email within twenty-four (24) hours, please resend your request and cc' aarongnirk@ifckc.org. Please note this is not a confirmation that the equipment rental request was approved.

A member of the IFC Rental Equipment Committee (IFC REC) will respond to the email request to confirm availability of the equipment requested and arrange for the pickup/return time. No equipment rental request is approved until an email confirmation from a member of the IFC REC is received. IFC REC member will cc' equipment@ifckc.org to notify the other committee members that they are handling the equipment request. Rental Period: All equipment rentals are for twenty-four (24) hour periods beginning from the date/time the equipment being rented is picked up from the IFC office and returned thereto.

Late Fees: If for any reason you cannot return rented equipment at the scheduled date and time you must notify the IFC REC member you scheduled with to reschedule the return of the equipment. Late fees will be charged as follows: An additional fee equal to twenty-five (25%) percent of the total rental fee for one (1) day will be charge for equipment returned over five (5) hours late, fifty (50%) percent for equipment returned over twelve (12) hours late, and one hundred (100%) percent for equipment returned more than twenty-four (24) hours late. Renters are responsible for making timely arrangements with IFC REC for the return of all rented equipment.
Damaged or Lost Equipment: Renter is responsible for the full retail replacement price of the rented equipment if any and /or all items are damaged, destroyed, or lost by the renter or any member of renter's production crew/company during the term of the equipment rental period.

Cancellation: IFC members are responsible for providing a twenty-four (24) hour written notice of cancellation from the rental pickup date on all confirmed equipment rentals. IFC members must send written cancellation notices to equipment@ifckc.org. Canceled equipment rentals without written notice will be charge one hundred (100%) percent of the total equipment rental fee on the specific item rented for the term of the rental period. Canceled equipment rentals with less than twenty-four (24) hour notice will be charged one hundred (100%) percent of the total equipment rental fee equal to one (1) days rental fees on all canceled equipment rented.

All IFC equipment rentals are subject to approval by the IFC REC members, unless otherwise stated in writing by the IFC Board of Directors. Please note the rental of IFC equipment is a privileged, not a right and all IFC REC members are unpaid volunteers.
